The 2 holes, closest to the barrel, accept 6.5 mm cancellous screw. This enhances stability. The DCP holes in the DCS side plate allow angulation of 4.5 mm cortex screws. The number of screw holes per plate length is maximized without compromising the plate strength. This allows an increased number of fixation points with a smaller incision. GPC Medical offers DCS plates with 6 to 16 holes & in various lengths. These are available in both stainless steel & titanium.
