S&DJR No2147 USKMOUTH "SANTA SPECIAL" MIDSOMER NORTH POLE, FIRST RUN IN PRESERVATION

S&DJR🎄⛄️SANTA EXPRESS-❄️USKMOUTH departs Midsomer Norton Pole+ FATHER CHRISTMAS🎄🤶

This locomotive was built by Peckett & Sons in 1952 for the Central Electricity Generating Board (CEGB) and was deployed at Uskmouth power station (also known as Fifoots Point power station) at the mouth of the River Usk.

After its industrial service the locomotive moved to the Dean forest railway in April 1972.

After a period of storage the locomotive is being restored on the Dean Forest Railway.

In April 2024 it was reported that the locomotive was only a couple months away from being fully restored.
