It’s no #secret that #dealership s are #shorts #short #shortvideo #shortsvideo on #usedcar #car #inventory , and finding profitable sources for once is a major challenge right now.
So let’s first take a look at what has changed, and WHY some of the processes that used to work well, just aren’t generating the same results that they used to years ago…
For decades, I would #train my #teams to ask clients, “Is that your #year #make #model
And what if we could trade you out of your current #vehicle , into a similar #vehicles , at a similar #payment , with little, or even no #money #down ? Is that something you would consider?
The issue with that #approach in today’s world is that it’s not #authentic , #genuine , and most importantly, with #interestrates 3X the #rate that they are currently paying, and the #average #new #car #monthly #payment in the #country well over $700, is that something that a dealer can actually achieve with “little or, even no #money down ?”
What is the point of setting an unrealistic #expectations , when there is no expectation from the #client to do so? My guess is that dealers with service drive #sales #teams , don’t see the point either.
So when we do ask a consumer, “what if I could get you into a new car, for a similar payment to what your currently paying, with little or no money down, would you consider it?”

And if the client does say that they would consider it ( if we think that’s possible) what does that conversation look like an hour or two later, when we can’t even get close? And after that conversation, how excited is that salesperson to approach clients on the service drive?
