I’m Robert Petersen—a creative through and through.
Filmmaker, editor, graphic designer, musician, author, mentor, and Nex Creative Life coach.
For over 37 years, I’ve told stories with heart and substance—partnering with ad agencies, small businesses, nonprofits, and regional branches of global brands.
My work has spanned brand films and corporate campaigns, live network sports, documentaries, and marketing and branding - all connected by visual storytelling.
I’ve built companies with my wife Mary that have stood the test of time.
I’ve worked inside the system—and on the far fringes of it.
I’ve felt the highs that lit me up—and crashed into walls that nearly broke me.
At one point, I had a choice:
Chase the paycheck and keep grinding (and there’s nothing wrong with making money)…
or create what I needed most when I was a Lost Creative—and couldn’t find.
That’s why I started Worthy Creative U.
Because creative life isn’t just about the work or the income.
It’s about who you become while doing it.
Who you do it with.
And whether the mountain you’re climbing is one you actually want to be on.
I don’t have all the answers.
