［4K ］Snow scene Winter Japan 冬景色の白川郷・五箇山の世界遺産の雪景色 Shirakawa-go and Gokayama

撮影：2015年2月。岐阜県白川郷と富山県の五箇山（菅沼集落と相倉集落）は合掌造り集落として、1995年12月ユネスコの世界遺産（文化遺産）に登録された。冬の雪深い里とで合掌造りの民家は、冬は外界から閉ざされたような白銀の世界に変わり、合掌造りの集落が 1メートル以上の豪雪に覆われた姿は、まるで水墨画のよう。 豪雪地帯特有の気候に対応するために生み出された先人の知恵や工夫が 今なお引き継がれており、日本の原風景が見られる。 また、雪の量によっては、1階が雪で埋もれてしまうこともあるため、いざという時には2階からも出入りできるように扉がつけられている建物もあるほどで積雪が2メートルを超えることもある豪雪地帯。合掌造り集落のライトアップも１月下旬から２月上旬の週末には、大勢の観光客やカメラマンで混雑するほどの賑わいをみせる。

The villages of Shirakawa（Gifu Prefecture）, Ainokura（Toyama Prefecture） and
Suganuma （Toyama Prefecture）community that was listed as a
UNESCO World Heritage site for its thatched-roof farmhouses in
1995 has been a tourist magnet for years.
Located in a mountainous region that was cut off from the rest of
the world for a long period of time, these villages with their Gassho-style
houses subsisted on the cultivation of mulberry trees
and the rearing of silkworms.
The large houses with their steeply pitched thatched roofs
are the only examples of their kind in Japan.
The thatched roof farmhouses are built this way to survive
the harsh winter and large amounts of snow
that the region experiences.
