I will walk you through the menu and prepare the camera for infrared photography.

I will be setting everything in Live View mode which you can access by pressing a button with a red dot that is on the upper left-hand side.

As you can see, it now shows a red image. This is normal and we need to set white balance to a gray card, for example. Later on, you can set the white balance to grass if you want grass to be white.

First, we need to take a picture of this card, keeping it in the center.

Now press Menu, go to the second tab, and choose the Custom White Balance option. Press Set and OK twice.

Now press the Q button and choose the third option from the top. Choose an option that has two triangles. This is our custom white balance.

In the Video mode, we need to set the custom white balance again. Press the Q button and choose the second option from the top. Once again, choose the option that shows two triangles.
