📘 CBSE Class 12 Physics Board Exam 2026 | Honest Paper Reaction

The CBSE Class 12 Physics Board Exam 2026 is finally over, and in this video I share a raw, honest, student-level paper reaction based on real feedback from students who actually appeared for the exam.

This review is not based on assumptions or online speculation. I personally collected the Physics question papers via WhatsApp from multiple friends across different regions and sets and carefully went through them to understand what CBSE actually did this year.

🔍 What Really Happened in the Physics Exam?

Compared to the last few years, the 2026 Physics paper felt comparatively easier, but not because it was simple. The paper was unexpected and oddly structured. Instead of focusing heavily on numericals and standard derivations like previous years, CBSE shifted the paper toward theory-dominated questions.

Many students prepared assuming that numericals and derivations would play a major role, especially after the trend of the last 2–3 years. However, this year:

Numericals were very limited

Standard derivations were fewer than expected

Theory-based questions dominated most sections

This sudden change in pattern confused a lot of students, even those who were well prepared.

🌍 Set-wise and Region-wise Differences

One major issue this year was the huge variation between sets and regions.
Some students received relatively easy papers, some got moderate ones, while others felt their paper was simply messy rather than tough.

For example:

In West Bengal, the paper was heavily theory-based with very few numericals.

In some other regions, students reported JEE Main–type numericals, slightly beyond standard board expectations.

Because of this, reactions to the paper were extremely mixed. One student might say the paper was easy, while another from a different set or region might strongly disagree.

📉 Why Many Students Felt the Paper Was “Bad”

The paper was not extremely difficult in terms of concepts, but:

It was lengthy

Time management became a serious issue

Many questions were unexpected and not from commonly predicted “important topics”

Preparation based only on marathon videos or selective study didn’t help much

Several students couldn’t complete the paper properly, not because they didn’t know the syllabus, but because the paper demanded more reading, interpretation, and writing in limited time.

📚 Comparison With Previous Years

In previous years, CBSE Physics papers were known for:

Heavy numericals

Tough problem-solving

Fewer theory questions

This year, CBSE almost flipped the pattern. Students who practiced numericals extensively felt caught off guard, while those strong in theory felt slightly relieved.

🎯 Final Verdict

The CBSE Class 12 Physics Board Exam 2026 was:

Not the toughest paper in recent years

Not truly “easy” either

Highly unpredictable

Poorly balanced in terms of theory vs numericals

CBSE may have given some relief this year, but based on past trends, this could mean a tougher paper for upcoming batches.
