My buddy Erik asked me if I wanted to go out to a lake he'd journeyed out to before but not fished. The 4x4 road out there was long, skinny and rough so we opted to take a side by side packed with our float tubes out to the trailhead and hike in the rest of the way. According to a Forest Service website, it was stocked with Brook Trout or Cutthroat Trout every few years but all we saw were Rainbows. It was a fun day on a remote lake with nobody else around for miles!
