2021: The Armor & Cavalry Collection Move Year in Review

For many of us, 2021 has been a challenging year. Despite the hardships experienced, the Armor & Cavalry Collection perservered and continued the titanic move of historic armor pieces to our new facility, the "Tankodrome". This video captures the action, with the first images showing our starting point the first week of Janury 2021 to the final efforts the week of Christmas 2021.
All of these efforts were made possible by the support and teamwork of entities here at Fort Benning, the U.S. Army Center of Military History, and the U.S. Army at large. Most importantly, we wish to recognize the work of volunteers who helped in the "boots on the ground" efforts. They represent civilians, military retirees, and active duty personnel from all ranks from Privates to Captains and even different branches. We thank them for their fantastic work in preserving the legacy and history of the Armor Branch.
We look forward to further progress (and additions to the Armor Collection) in 2022!
