1.KHASADA WATERFALL

Khasada waterfall is one of the most amazing and crowded waterfall, located near Chandragiri town of Gajpati District. It is located 100 KM from silk city berhampur, 270 km from the capital of Odisha Bhubaneswar, 90km from Paralakhemundi and 13km from Chandragiri.A Picnic Spot for nearby peoples and a place with Buddhism Specialty and Importance.

Jirang monastery | A beautiful buddhist temple in odisha |Largest in eastern India
Jirang is a place in odisha which is famous for its beautiful Buddhist monastery. It is also known as Padma Sambhava Mahavihara. It is the largest Buddhist monastery in Eastern India. It is located in Chandragiri, Gajapati district, Odisha state. The monastery inaugurated by tibetan guru Dalai Lama in 2010. It is a residence-cum-college for budding Buddhist monks who come from all over India to study


History
The Chinese invasion and occupation of Tibet in 1959 forced about 85,000 Tibetans including their religious and political head the 14th Dalai Lama to seek shelter in India and other places. Then Chandragiri, about 80 kilometers from Berhampur a southern town of Odisha, was chosen as one of the main six camps / settlements established in the country. The Tibetan refugees who stay at Jiranga or which is also popularly known as Chandragiri, Odisha, call this place as Phuntsokling, which in Tibetan translates to -"Land of Happiness and Plenty". Accord for the monastery was given by the Dalai Lama in 1998. The foundation stone was laid in 2003 and building was completed in 2008 at a cost of about Rs 8 crores.


Structure
It is built in the Atanpuri style of architecture of Nalanda by architects from Tibet, Nepal and Bhutan assisted by local masons. It is 70 feet (21 m) and five stories high, and is built on 10 acres (40,000 m2) of land. It features a 23 feet (7.0 m) high Buddha statue and a 17 feet (5.2 m) Buddha Padmasambhava. Around 200 monks are resident in the monastery, which is named after Acharya Padmasambhava (who was born in Oddiyana), who is believed to have spread Buddhism to Tibet in the 7th Century. This is a school for Tibetan studies and there are students staying and reading different courses here. The five-storey monastery has a huge meditation shrine hall and other small temples, institute and hostels inside the well spread-out complex. There is an old temple located at left side of main entrance of the temple.
