SimpleFishing | River Barbel and excited accidental Chub fishing with minimal tackle

With 21 years experience under my belt, I hope to put a smile on your face and at the same time maybe share with you some of my tactics and methods for catching all types of course fish as the series progresses.

After 2 decades of course fishing I finally catch my first ever chub, and with a little patience and some tackle changes I land the target species of the day which was a good size handsome fighting fit Barbel.

I believe anyone can fish, we as a species have been doing it for 40,000 years.

Keep it simple, have patience, don't believe the hype, and most of all have fun.

This is my first video so I am rough around the edges, but if I can make you smile it was all worth while.
