I paddled really far today to check out a new spot and I looked for areas that might hold fish. I found deep cuts, grassy flats with sandy potholes and best of all...oyster beds.
Little crabs and baitfish live in and around oyster beds and the large predators know that. Just like a reef, these spots are awesome places to fish.
I put this theory to practice today and was rewarded with several nice redfish and trout.
