Placenta produces protein hormones like human chorionic gonadotropin, and human placental lactogen hormones mainly, other than that are adrenocorticotropic hormone, thyrotropic releasing hormone, growth hormone variant, corticotropin-releasing hormone, calcitonin, relaxin, inhibin, ANP, etc.

These synthesize from syncytiotrophoblast.
Here the 2 important protein/ peptide hormones are discussed with their function, molecular weight, half-life, plasma value, etc.
