In this video we'll have a look on a very interesting fact about Canada. Why so many canadians live below the 49th paralel. This has to do wth the fact that most of Canada is not well suited for agriculture and the majority of population is located around the Great Lakes.
The canadian shield covers half of Canada teritory, this platou of rocks is not well suited for agriculture.
All the big cities in Canada are locatedin the proximity of the Great Lakes and under the 49th paralel.
But we'll talk more about all of this in this video, so make sure you do not miss it.

More than 70% of Canadians live below this line, or to be more extreme, 50% of Canada’s population lives below this line. But why?
You may already know that most of Canada’s territory is not well suited for agriculture, in fact only 4.3% of Canada’s land is arable. This has to do with the fact that Canada is located on the Canadian Shield, a plateau of rocks which make agriculture almost impossible.
Another reason why the majority of population is concentrated here is the proximity to the Great Lakes, which are an important source of fresh water and ease the farming in the region.
Also, This region called the Quebec City-Windsor Corridor has the best climate in all the Canada, first three biggest cities in Canada: Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal being located here.
