Jembe drumming, song, and dance (2007) Tisanbe, with female satire

Описание к видео Jembe drumming, song, and dance (2007) Tisanbe, with female satire

Singer Ye Diabaté sings "tisanba," a Bamana song said to originate from the Bèlèdugu region north of Bamako. This repertoire can come along with female comedy and satire, especially when performed on the occasion of circumcision rites (where psychoactive drugs may come into play, too), but also at urban weddings as the one shown in this video.
Players are Drisa Kone, Madu Jakite and Sedu Balo; recording: RP
