BJP MP Arun Govil demanded in Lok Sabha that CCTV cameras be installed at mosques, madrasas, temples and churches to enhance security at public religious places.

Speaking during Zero Hour, the Meerut MP said the appeal was not against any religion but aimed at protecting human life and ensuring national security. He added that similar systems are already in place at temples, churches, schools and colleges, and highlighted that even Mecca has CCTV cameras.

Govil urged the government to frame a uniform national security policy to monitor such spaces.
