ASU Core Facilities Instrument Showcase: CHN Analyzer

METAL, a part of the Eyring Materials Center of ASU Core Research Facilities, houses state-of-the-art equipment, including the PerkinElmer CHNS/O 2400 Series II Analyzer, an instrument used instrument for precise elemental analysis.

It simultaneously quantifies the percentages of Carbon, Hydrogen and Nitrogen in solids with a CHNS mode that allows it to quantify Sulfur as well. Additionally, the CHN Analyzer has an oxygen mode.

It provides simple and accurate measurements of elemental quantification. It only requires small samples of 2-100 mg and features a 60-position autosampler. This CHN Analyzer is a reliable asset, catering to a wide range of research disciplines like biology, sustainability, engineering and materials science.
