A staple of the SoundCloud era, Night Lovell has never stopped evolving -- always looking for ways to innovate. Whether it was the sound he and close collaborator $NOT have built together over the years or his latest album 'I HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY,' the 26-year-old singer-rapper is striving for happiness in every regard. He effortlessly conjures darkness within his music, but ultimately finds the light -- focusing on intention and maturity within his new record. The Canadian-born artist's journey into the spotlight was initially propelled by his 2014 hit "Dark Light" and has amassed a cult fan base since -- saying it still feels surreal when fans come up to him idolizing his work. "I was giving this fan a hug [after a show] and he started balling his eyes out," he told OGM host Hakeem Rowe. "That just really showed me and reminded me how much influence you have on these kids. It makes you think, 'let me actually put some thought into what I'm putting out.' It has to make you care to, you know?"

Coming off of the 'Get Busy Or Die Tour' with $NOT, Eem Triplin, DC The Don and others this summer, Lovell chopped it up with us about his new album, inspirations, roots in Canada, relationships with $NOT, growing up, making music with intention and so much more in this Our Generation Music exclusive interview.
