The Ladakh Scouts, formed on 1 June 1963, became a standard infantry regiment after the Kargil War on 1 June 2000. During the conflict, Pakistan began shelling National Highway-1 in Kashmir and Ladakh. In Operation Vijay, Capt (Hon) Tashi Chhepal of the Ladakh Scouts led a brave attack on Dog Hill in the Batalik Sector. Under heavy enemy fire, he and his team scaled a steep cliff, showcasing their determination and skill. The film highlights the courage of these Ladakhi heroes. The Kargil War, fought in 1999, was a critical conflict between India and Pakistan in the Kargil district of Jammu and Kashmir, involving high-altitude warfare and significant military strategy.
