We have also discussed their potential benefits as a Distributed Energy Resouce, but now there is a new electric vehicle that may soon number in the millions and rides on two wheels: Electric Bikes. Given their affordability and convenience, many urban and suburban commuters have opted to rely on these bicycles as their primary form of transportation. Powering these rides are very energy dense lithium batteries, and charging them can sometimes take hours.

The takeaway was: As E-Bikes grow in popularity and ubiquity, understanding their impact on the grid while charging will be even more important.
