A fun animated, satirical take on Canada's early days. Originally part of History Bites: Mother Britain created by Rick Green.

Note : This is a piece of SATIRE. It is part of a larger piece of satire. The narrator character is an unreliable narrator who is a parody of both news reel narrators but also shares the mind set of of an ignorant colonist. So yes his comment about the natives is not what natives ACTUALLY believe, because his character is an ignorant narrator saying stupid things and sharing views that some early settlers thought. He is not a modern historian. I can't believe i actually have to describe satire to people but some of the comments I've read are just ridiculous hence this description. If you would like to see the Episode that this little animation is featured in, it's in a 1 hour special called "History Bites: Mother Britain". Which explores Canada's relationship with Britain. It's pretty funny and also interesting. Hopefully though this little animation still acts as a jumping off point to get people to discuss colonialism , native rights etc. I think these are important issues that have always remained topical.
