STAGE 2 Part I - Desert Rats Cycling UK Rebellion Way. 45Km route.
Starting from Thetford Railway Station, head North towards Croxton on NCR 30. The route skirts the edge of the Military Training Area STANTA and has large sections of OFF-ROAD. Pass though an ancient landscape; neolithic mine shafts, firing ranges, abandoned villages and Lynford Arboretum. Visit the WW2 Memorial to 7th Armoured Division "The Desert Rats". Quiet roads to Oxborough Hall and a straight run into Swaffham, a town who owes its name to the early Germanic settlers from SWABIA.
