Intimacy means being fully present, engaged, and vibrantly alive in all relationships. The experience of intimacy involves three essential elements, the closeness of connection, being at home, and caring.

Intimacy emerges from the experience of communion, a sense of knowing and possibly being known, and the feeling that the deep part of our being is being engaged…intimacy gives us a sense of belonging and of home. When we sense in our body and in our being in the aliveness of the moment, we are intimate with life. This erotic quality is our vibrant connection to life and each other, making people and things meaningful, significant invaluable.
