The FR X-22 Car Comes To RaceRoom…And It’s AMAZING!

I’ve waited for a long time to drive this FR X-22 car…and it’s just as amazing as I was expecting it to be!

The FR X-22 is RaceRoom’s latest single seater addition featuring full ground effect physics (including porpoising) and a 1.6L V6 turbo hybrid engine, making it effectively a current-gen Formula One car without the official name tag.

RaceRoom are well known for being at the forefront of providing electric vehicles in sim racing, but this is their first car to feature both an electric engine AND a traditional internal combustion engine too. Along with the hybrid power system comes a whole array of battery options and fascinating potential for race strategies.

In this video I explain exactly what RaceRoom’s FR X-22 is all about, how to make sense of the brand new energy management settings and also put the car through its paces at Spa Francorchamps.
