Mercedes-Benz R129 Seat Removal Guide and Fix for 300SL, 320SL, 500SL

Описание к видео Mercedes-Benz R129 Seat Removal Guide and Fix for 300SL, 320SL, 500SL

How to remove and fix the seat on R129 Mercedes 300SL, 320SL, 500SL, 600SL for years 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994 and 1995. This video includes a complete seat removal guide, including the removal of the leather seat cushion, seat back and plastic back covers.

In my 1992 SL, the seat back cover had broken away from the seatbelt plastic holder. To fix the problem I had to disassemble every part of the seat, which gave me an opportunity to clean and lubricate parts of the seat that you can only do while the seat is disassembled.
Update: it’s been about a year and the seat is still perfectly and solidly connected. An additional step is using the epoxy, together with a reinforcing strip of plastic/metal. This should make it even more solid, especially if you haven’t found the right epoxy.
