This was one of the last songs we decided to cover, and it was actually suggested in a moment of inspiration by our good friend James Duke (he played guitar on New Year EP for us). He was over in the UK before we started Secret Rooms and after describing the concept of what we were going to be doing to him, he suggested that this could be one of the songs we cover. It was one of those "why didn't we think of that?" moments - as both of us are big fans of The Cure - and the next day we already had the arrangement down with Robert and Matt on duelling guitars and Spencer on bass. We recorded the drums and then looped them and recorded them onto casette, which seemed appropriate somehow. This was the last Secret Room on the tour, so was a pretty memorable night for all of us. We were very well looked after by Michael Clay and everyone at White Space, and the night ended with us gathered round the van looking up at the Dallas skyline with Michael regaling us with his poetry.
