The body is on a stick that is secured to a cut-up backpack under the actor's jacket. Traditionally, the actor would hold the head with one hand and the body in the other. But the head is heavy enough and- especially with smaller actors- requires two hands to hold and control the mouth.

Some things I would change if I did it again:

* Don't position the pole that holds the head up at 90 degrees. Put it on an angle so that the head is tilted slightly down. This looks more natural and gives the audience a better view.
* Make the beak slightly pointier, like the Broadway version.
* Use more yellow in the paint for the feathers so that it is less pink and better matches the Broadway coloring.
