Canberra Plaza has finally opened on Dec 18, 2020. It is located next to Canberra MRT and houses many popular shops and eateries like Mac Donalds, Starbucks and A&W’s third outlet in Singapore. Other shops include NTUC, KFC, Daiso, Breadtalk, Ya Kun, Pho Street, 7 Eleven, Gymbox and many more.

On its first day, massive long queues can be seen, one main queue just to enter the mall and another queue for the ever popular A&W. Well, can you blame them? Half the neighbourhood has waited 3 years for this day. The opening of Canberra Plaza had been delayed twice, originally scheduled to open at end 2019, and then mid of 2020. Canberra MRT opened in Nov 2019 and residents had eagerly awaited the opening of the shopping mall. With the pandemic easing up in Singapore, construction works could resume and thus the mall has finally opened!

I shall wait till a later time to try exploring the mall. With Phase 3 happening in Singapore soon, there will be other opportunities to visit this mall!
