It’s a legitimate therapy technique, and Jonathan explains how it’s used in a real setting. They talk about the assumptions and hurtful behaviors that culminate in Tess and Anna switching bodies. Alan praises the performances from Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan because they’re each acting as the other actor acting as the character. And they do it so well!
