The Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) accorded Acceptance of Necessity (AoN) to procure the Very Short Range Air Defence System (VSHORADS). VSHORADS is a Man Portable Air Defence Missile System (MANPAD). It is designed and developed indigenously by DRDO’s Research Centre Imarat (RCI), Hyderabad. It was designed for anti-aircraft warfare and neutralizing low-altitude aerial threats at short ranges. Watch the full video for the complete overview.
