Prime Minister Justin Trudeau holds a news conference in Westville, N.S., to outline his government's policy to implement its national school food program. The Liberals are pledging $1 billion over 5 years to develop the program in collaboration with the provinces, territories and Indigenous partners. The prime minister is joined by Families Minister Jenna Sudds, Housing Minister and Central Nova MP Sean Fraser and high school student Jessica Fagan.

Responding to questions from reporters, he comments on Canada's designation of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist entity. Trudeau is also asked about other issues including the upcoming byelection in Toronto–St. Paul's on June 24 and Ontario Premier Doug Ford's call for the federal government to impose a tariff on electric vehicles manufactured in China.
