BARI has been conducting research for generating eco-friendly floating agriculture based modern technologies regarding Introduction of BARI developed modern varieties of vegetables and spices crops, agronomic management, cropping systems, year round vegetables and spices production, nutrient management, development of floating bed, efficient use of water hyacinth, integrated pest/disease management and so on for improving the traditional floating garden agriculture practices towards improving food and nutritional security in the flooded or submerged ecosystems of Bangladesh.
