Thank you for watching our 2020 Toyota Tundra painted end cap swap. Our customer and apparently a lot of customers don't like the chrome look on the Tundra. We are happy to provide the parts or kit needed to change your chrome Tundra bumper ends to paint to match end caps.

TOOLS NEEDED:
You will need a 10 and 12mm socket with a socket wrench. An impact gun is helpful but not needed. You will also need a razor blade to make slight modifications to the end cap and fog light bezel. You will also need a panel clip removal tool or flat-head screwdriver to remove clips.

PROCESS:
For this process, you have to pretty much remove the entire front end of the Tundra. It's a lot easier than it looks, you just have to know which bolts to take out. We started by removing the clips for the fender liner and then moved to the bottom bolts for the end caps. We then removed the front grille because you have to access the bolts to remove the bumper or lower plastic valance. Removing the grille is quite easy. Start with the top bolts and clips. Then pull the grille outwards. Be careful if you have a sensor in the front. You do not want to break that sensor! Once the grille is off, unplug the sensor. You're almost there. We then removed the clips for the headlight fillers or fender extensions. There are clips we need to access behind them to remove the end caps. Once the headlight fillers are off, you should have full access to the top of the bumper. Begin by removing every bolt on the top bumper. You need to remove the small bar at the top as well. Once all the bolts are off you can remove the end caps and center valance as one whole bumper piece. Now the fun begins! Remove the fog lights from the chrome end caps and remove the chrome caps. Before you install the newly painted caps, you may want to make a slight modification to the end cap. Cut off the corner bracket of the end cap so the foglight bezel will fit. You can also just opt to buy the bracket for the painted end cap. Just use a razor blade to carefully cut off the plastic. Once that is off, install the foglights and mount the end caps to the center console. You also need to install the sensors if you have them. They are slightly different, you do have to shave part of the bumper as well to fit your original sensor. You can also purchase the new sensor bracket if you do not want to cut the end cap. Once everything is transferred over, you can now mount your bumper. When you do, be sure to push the foglights down to slide the bumper over between the bracket. This gave us some trouble but we figured it out so you don't have to! Once you have mounted the bumper, work in reverse and secure all the bolts. Install the headlight filler and secure the fender liner. You're all done!
