VMA-231 provided close-air support during Exercise Southern Strike 2023, a joint, multinational exercise designed to improve interoperability among allies and branches of the Department of Defense. VMA-231 is a subordinate unit of 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, the aviation combat element of II Marine Expeditionary Force. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Cpl. Christian Cortez)
