Isla Mujeres - from Cancun, Punta Sur, Tortugranja, Playa Norte

Although I haven't been to too many islands in Mexico, I have been to a lot of islands in my life. And Isla Mujeres is definitely up there! Even better - it's only a 20 minute ferry ride from Puerto Juarez ferry terminal in Cancun! I did not have enough time to stay overnight on the island so I just went for a daytrip, but it was still amazing! I'm sure it would be even better if you stayed there overnight or even for a couple days. Isla Mujeres has amazing (seaweed free) beaches! It also has crystal clear water, amazing cliffs, lots of iguanas, and plenty of attractions to occupy your time.

The number one thing I would recommend you to do is to rent a golf cart!!! I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend that much money as I was by myself, however it was definitely the highlight of my day! It also made it super easy to drive to both ends of the island and everywhere in between.
