Tom Baker's tenure as the 4th Doctor is longer than any other Doctor. But in 1981 it came to an end in the midst of the Producer John Nathan-Turner beginning his 9 year reign for the remainder of the classic series and making mass changes to the show to bring it up to date for the 1980's. But did result in the best to bring an end to the 4th Doctor era???
