"The Source" and "Language" by "The Contortionist" | Cover on guitars, bass and drums

Hey there! Firstly, thank you very much for stopping by!

As you can or cannot tell from the content on my channel, I'm very much into the "Language"-record by The Contortionist. To this day, I'm really intrigued by the music on it. I can remember that, when I first listened to it back when it came out (a decade ago by the way!), especially the first three tracks really caught me. Although the record is absolutely great in its entirety, the opening tracks are still speaking to me in nearly the same magical way they used to back in 2014. Something I haven't experienced since.

Originally, I was planning on recording a 'regular' drum cover for the two title-tracks (which I did). But being so special to me, I wanted to do something different this time and asked some of my good friends and musical fellows - who happen to life next door and also be fans of this amazing band - to join me doing this cover. I couldn't be happier that they actually agreed and took part in this endeavor. The most special thanks are going out to Erik on guitars, Benni on bass and Holger on Keys (the latter on "The Source") for taking the time and supporting me in paying tribute to this musical masterpiece. Unfortunately, we couldn't find an appropriate singer for this, so we used the original music here. Anyway - it was a lot of fun doing this together.
