Unlike some other condenser mics which can be quite fragile, the Starlight is built to last, with gigging-life on the road in mind. Construction features a heavy duty, 1.5mm stainless steel chassis and Aston's signature sintered steel heel head, offering the ideal acoustic porosity whist making it really tough.

As mentioned earlier, the Starlight is the worlds first pencil mic to feature a laser guide. It's fitted with a class 2 laser that draws power from the 48v phantom (so there's no need for batteries) and allows for easy recall of mic positioning in the studio and quick set-up at gigs...plus, you can also wave it about pretending it's a lightsaber!

The Starlight's high quality internal PCB amp circuit also offers 3 differing "voice" modes (vintage, modern & hybrid), each offering a slightly different tonal option and frequency response. Add to this a -10 or -20 dB pad switch and a low cut filter, and you've got a really versatile mic, perfect for drums, guitars and cabs, brass, strings and even vocals...just make sure not to get that laser in your eye!
