Epic Battle: Great Blue Heron vs. Atlantic Eel

Описание к видео Epic Battle: Great Blue Heron vs. Atlantic Eel

Fleetwood Pond continues to shrink as the drought has lasted more than a month. Most fish have been caught, and now the Great Blue Herons have moved on to other prey. Watch as this bird struggles to eat an American Eel. Be sure to watch until the end to see if the bird was successful. More information about the American Eel:
The American eel has an elongated, snake-like body covered with a layer of mucus, giving it a slimy texture and making it difficult to hold. American eels are catadromous, meaning they spend most of their lives in freshwater but migrate to the ocean to spawn. They are found along the Atlantic coast of North America, ranging from Greenland and Iceland to northern South America and throughout rivers, lakes, estuaries, and streams. This species is adaptable, living in diverse habitats like rivers, marshes, lakes, and even coastal marine waters.
Thanks for taking the time to read the description. Have you ever seen a Great Blue Heron eat and eel? Be sure to watch the related video linked at the end to see a Great Blue Heron eat a huge White Perch.
