I found myself with an unplanned week off from work and nothing to do. It was the Sunday before Labor Day at about 10 a.m. and I decided to fly to Denver, rent a Harley and ride the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. In less than 24 hours I was in Denver, strapping my luggage onto a rented 2021 Heritage Softail and heading up into the mountains. I traveled just inside the mountain range and then south to ride up Pikes Peak. The weather was perfect and the Heritage Softail was the perfect bike for the week ahead.
