Below is a message from the General Manager of Deaf Sports Australia.
"Hi all,

We have a ‘changing of the guard’ at Board level and President of Deaf Sport Australia. Kathryn (Kate) Armfield, who joined the Board in 2013 and became President in 2018 has decided to step away and support a succession plan with Hannah Britton taking the role as President.

Kate will continue on the Board as Vice President for one year before she steps away in 2024.

I have enjoyed working with Kate on the Board and more recently since 2019 as General Manager. She has given DSA countless hours of passionate support and commitment to ensuring the organisation thrives and continues to be sustainable. Always ready and open for new ideas and challenges. I want to thank Kate for her time as President and her support to myself, the Board, staff and members. We look forward to her support of Hannah in her role as President over the next period.

Welcome Hannah as President of DSA. Look forward to continuing working with you and the Board as we continue to grow and look for new opportunities to expand our services and support to our members and the Deaf community. Exciting times ahead."

Phil Harper, General Manager.
