San Guillermo Church | Bacolor Pampanga

Описание к видео San Guillermo Church | Bacolor Pampanga

San Guillermo Church, built by Augustinian friars in 1576, was named after Saint William the Hermit (San Guillermo de Aquitania).

The church features Baroque architecture, typical of many Spanish-era churches in the Philippines. It is made of locally quarried stone and bricks.

The church, damaged by earthquakes and fires, was buried in lahar by Mount Pinatubo's 1991
eruption, leaving only the top half visible above the lahar deposits.
