Other fields in which SAE telecontrol solutions can be used are direct marketing and balancing energy, two extremely dynamic areas of the power supply industry. SAE telecontrol solutions provide an important linking function in direct marketing and energy balancing. They allow the marketing company controlling access to the participating generation plants.

"Balancing energy" is provided to secure the power supply. It is used when there is either excess demand or excess supply in the power market. In order to be able to compensate for fluctuations in the power market, the large Transmission System Operators must provide balancing energy at all times.
