Why You Should Play Monster of the Week

Monster of the Week is probably my favorite RPG system right now, and it's a shame that more people haven't tried it. The game supports a horror-influenced urban fantasy setting inspired by series like Supernatural, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the X-Files, the Dresden Files, and Stranger Things, and involves the player characters investigating weird phenomena and killing the evil creatures behind them. The game system itself is pretty rules-light compared to something like D&D, as are all of the Powered by the Apocalypse games, and you could pretty easily play in or even run a session without buying the book. Still, the book is full of useful advice, and it's worth the purchase if you like the game.
