RX 580 vs GTX 1060 Frame Time Analysis - DiRT 4 [MICHIGAN WOOD RALLY]

Codemasters' DiRT 4 builds upon the foundations of DiRT Rally while tries to cater to all players with several handling modes from casual to simulation. We contest the Hillman Forest stage in Michigan with a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X - as usual our benchmark sequences are made up from several stints from cockpit, bumper and chase perspectives.

Game-ready drivers were used with both cards, with 1080p and ultra setting and 4xMSAA the FPS counter hovered around the 60 FPS mark. The RX 580 was nearly 10% faster than the GTX 1060 around the high speed stage of Hillman Forest.

A dedicated recording PC with a capture card was used to save the game footages and consequently no performance penalty was incurred on the reviewed systems. For convenience, games are installed on an external SSD and connected to the reviewed PC via USB3.1 interface.
