Best starting position so far (3rd overall) but I was pretty sure I wasn't going to be able to hold on to it, as I'd gotten a little lucky in the qualifying race. I thought I might have the opportunity to take the fight to John Ryan in the #87 car, but as the race wore on, the car got increasingly difficult in right-hand turns, chattering pretty badly when I'd get on the throttle. I thought the left rear hub was failing, so I backed off a bit. Turns out there was a loose bolt in the rear suspension, and the next day, the left outer CV joint and wheel bearing failed in spectacular fashion at Grattan.
