‘Encounter’ Death Over Cow Smuggling: 12 Cops Booked in UP’s Deoband | The Quint

A year and a half after the death of a farmer over alleged cow smuggling during an ‘encounter’ in Uttar Pradesh’s Deoband, an FIR was registered against 12 policemen, including three senior inspectors. Zeeshan Haidar, 45, was allegedly killed on the suspicion of being a cattle smuggler in September 2021.
