His service includes Operation Blue Star (1984), Operation Pawan in Sri Lanka as part of the IPKF, counter-insurgency operations in Nagaland where he was wounded in action, the Kargil War, and multiple high-risk jungle and mountain warfare missions. He also served with the elite NSG.
