Another Year Gone: Wait, What Just Happened?

What an incredible year of adventures it has been! As the year draws to a close, it’s the perfect time to reflect on all the amazing memories I’ve made.

From taking my campervan through Europe—exploring Belgium, France, Spain, and Portugal—to single-handing my boat along the River Weaver and venturing further than I ever thought possible, with a little help from fellow boaters along the way.

This year also saw the Rum Wench pass her Sea Worthy Certificate, allowing me to take her onto the Manchester Ship Canal, and finally cruising the stunning Leeds Liverpool Canal to the docks, where I embarked on the thrilling and challenging crossing of the River Mersey.

Now, I’m looking forward to celebrating Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with my family—a much-needed reunion after so much time spent on my own.
