If you like smoked meat sandwiches there's a new man on Vancouver Island who should be able to help you out. For years Torontonians have drooled over Zane Caplansky's smoked meat sandwiches but now, the man who made his meat mark in Ontario, has come west.

Caplansky now calls Tofino home and is planning to bring his lifetime of smoking meat to Vancouver Island through pop-up restaurants. He also has his own line of Caplansky's mustard which he hopes to roll out on Vancouver Island in the future.

This week we caught up with Caplansky at Victoria's Capital Iron to see what a pop-up looks and (more importantly) tastes like.
